About the Event

Date: Sunday, March 30, 2025, 13:30 - 16:30

Place: Tokyo Innovation Base

Target: Elementary school students

Hosted by Hayabusa Racing, "Build Your Own Racing Team!" is an interactive workshop where children can experience the fundamentals of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) through miniature race car production and team management. Participants will also explore the importance of marketing and branding in racing.

During this workshop, children will engage in hands-on activities such as:

🚗 Race Car Assembly – Using STEM Racing Primary kits, participants will build their own miniature race cars while learning about aerodynamics and physics.
🎨 Team Logo & Branding – Participants will design a team logo and think about marketing strategies while customizing and painting their cars.
🏁 Race Tournament – A reaction-time-based tournament will be held using the cars they created.

Schedule

Part 1 - Making Your Team

After the opening ceremony, participants will experience creating their own racing team by deciding on their team's logo, color palette, team name, and potential sponsors.

Part 2 - Making Your Car

Next, participants will assemble their cars, explore how design affects the aerodynamics and speed through a quiz-style lesson, and observe airflow in a wind tunnel.

Part 3 - Racing

Finally, participants will actually make the cars run using a 4g gas cylinder, where reaction time will be nearly as important as the speed of the car itself.
