Aasaoka, although not initially interested in race cars, joined Hayabusa Racing after being invited by his classmates, Mori and Nakajima. As someone who wasn’t familiar with the world of motorsports, he found himself somewhat intimidated by the high-level skills of the engineering team. However, despite these feelings, Aasaoka took on a crucial role within the team, quietly contributing to the design and aesthetics by handling the painting tasks. His meticulous work has become an important part of the team’s overall presentation, ensuring that the car and other components have a professional, polished look.

Aasaoka’s passion for history, particularly modern history, World War II, and military topics, has been a significant influence on his life and hobbies. His interest in military history naturally led him to take up model building, where his focus on detail and craftsmanship flourished. This hobby, centered around creating intricate models, has played a pivotal role in shaping his current position within the team. His skills in model building are directly reflected in his approach to the painting tasks, where precision and attention to detail are key.

Although he joined the team with no prior experience in race cars, Aasaoka’s commitment to learning and contributing to the success of Hayabusa Racing is unwavering. His dedication to his craft, combined with his growing understanding of the team’s goals, ensures that he plays a vital role in helping the team move forward in the 2025 F1 in Schools competition.
